LG’s eco bulb package is for their new run of
light bulbs. The style is reminiscent of old 1960’s
economic methods of packaging, which would be
stamping images onto boxes. The actual process
was simulating an overprint effect on a heavy kraft
The concept behind choosing a retro style was to clash with a modern product, creating an unusual & fun relationship between the product and package. A retro/Americana theme is currently popular, so customers would be attracted to this product over another competitor’s product. This would be sold at department stores such as Home Depot & Walmart.
